Though the game was for names not pictures.

If you want to make it pictures don't you think that it limits things to what can be found on the internet.
Only asking.

Boxcar Willie He was a dj who wanted to become a singer. He saw a hobo riding a boxcar. To him the hobo looked a bit like Willie Nelson. So invented the persona of Boxcar Willie.
I was a bit dubious about him at the time. Not a great voice & his jokey tales could be rather cheesy. But he was one of the few keeping the tradition of Jimmy Rodgers alive & some of his recordings of thoae old songs are pretty good.
He also harked back to an earlier time in always appearing in his "charechter" costume

Ray Benson.
John Berry.
Blackhawk.

Moshe did you know that our fellow forum friend Dave Nutt played Steel guitar for Boxcar Willie for quite a few years including in America.......Dave doesn't blow his own trumpet, maybe because he's a steelie :)

I agree photo's do indeed bring some colour to the game and a name check helps identify the subject to the newer fan

Brian, that is pretty cool
I saw Boxcar a couple of times at Wembley. He always put on a good show, tho some of his banter was cheesy (IMO). But he kept the traditional country music around & I am sad he is not around & no one now seems to be doing that Jimmie rodgers type of thing

T Graham Brown He was the "soul guy of country music". I recall he appeared quite frequently as guest on some of the country music radio shows here back in the Eighties. I recall his tune "I Tell It Like It used To Be". He had a wave of popularity, but seemed to disappear a while back
